Terms of Service (Bias Room)

Welcome to Bias Room ("we," "our," "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, mobile app, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using Bias Room, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Bias Room.

If you are under the age of majority in your country, you must have your parent or guardian's permission.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering.

3. User Content

You may upload photos, collections, comments, and other materials ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and share it as part of the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. We do not control or endorse what you upload, and we are not liable for it.

By uploading, you represent that you have the necessary rights to share your content and that it does not infringe on others' rights.

You agree not to upload anything unlawful, infringing, harmful, or otherwise prohibited.

4. Moderation & Prohibited Content

While we do not actively monitor all uploads, we reserve the right (but are not obligated) to review, remove, or moderate User Content at our discretion. We may remove or restrict content that:

Violates these Terms,

Infringes intellectual property rights,

Is harmful, dangerous, or abusive,

Promotes hate speech, harassment, exploitation, or self-harm,

Is illegal or could create legal liability for Bias Room.

Users who repeatedly or severely violate these rules may have their accounts suspended or terminated.

5. Intellectual Property

All logos, designs, trademarks, features, and software related to Bias Room are our property or licensed to us.

You may not copy, distribute, reverse engineer, or modify our Service without permission.

6. Marketplace & Pricing Data

Bias Room may display price estimates, sales history, or other information ("Marketplace Data") that we collect from publicly available sources (such as eBay, Mercari, Bunjang, and others).

We do not own, control, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of Marketplace Data. The data may be delayed, incorrect, or unavailable without notice.

Marketplace Data is provided for informational and research purposes only. It should not be relied upon as financial, investment, or transactional advice.

Bias Room is not a marketplace and is not involved in any sale, purchase, payment, or dispute between you and any third-party platform or user.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any third-party marketplace mentioned in the Service.

You understand and agree that:

All transactions are your sole responsibility.

Any reliance on Marketplace Data is at your own risk.

Bias Room is not liable for losses, disputes, or damages resulting from your use of Marketplace Data.

7. Peer-to-Peer Marketplace (User Listings & Trades)

Bias Room provides a peer-to-peer listing platform ("Marketplace") that allows users to post items they want to sell or trade and to contact each other directly.

All communication, negotiation, payment, and shipment occur outside of Bias Room using third-party services (including PayPal, bank transfer, or local meetups).

Bias Room is not a party to any transaction between users. We do not handle payments, shipping, verification of items, dispute resolution, or refunds.

You understand and agree that:

Bias Room does not screen or guarantee the authenticity, condition, availability, or value of any items listed.

Bias Room does not verify the identity, reliability, or intent of any user.

Any communication, payment, and shipment are solely between you and the other user.

You are solely responsible for evaluating risk before entering any transaction.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bias Room is not responsible or liable for:

Scams, fraud, or misrepresentation,

Lost, delayed, or damaged shipments,

Payment disputes, chargebacks, or failed transactions,

Items not received, counterfeit items, or disagreement over item condition.

Bias Room's role is limited to helping users list items and discover compatible buyers or traders. We do not control and are not responsible for the actions or omissions of users.

Users are strongly encouraged to take precautions, including keeping screenshots, using trusted payment methods, and completing transactions safely.

8. Paid Features, Subscriptions & One-Time Purchases

Bias Room offers optional paid features, including subscriptions and one-time purchases (such as binder expansion packs or permanent upgrades).

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers (including Stripe). Bias Room does not store your full payment card details.

By making a purchase, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge the applicable fees, taxes, and recurring charges (if applicable).

Subscription plans provide access to premium features for a recurring fee and automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. You may manage or cancel subscriptions through your account settings or the platform where you originally subscribed.

If you cancel a subscription, access remains active until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time unless required by law.

When a subscription ends, your account will revert to your permanent (non-subscription) entitlements. Content or binders beyond your limits may become read-only but will not be deleted.

One-time purchases are permanent upgrades tied to your account. Unless otherwise required by law, one-time purchases are non-refundable once delivered.

All sales are final except where refunds are required by applicable law. Initiating chargebacks or payment disputes without contacting us first may result in account suspension or loss of access to paid features.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Use Bias Room for unlawful purposes.

Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload our systems.

Scrape, copy, or misuse large portions of the Service without permission.

Upload malware, spam, or automated content.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, upload prohibited content, misuse the Service, or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior.

Upon termination, access to paid features may be revoked without refund.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service, or that User Content, Marketplace Data, or paid features will always be accurate or available.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the past 12 months.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by updating the "Effective Date" above and may also provide notice in the app or by email.

Continued use of the Service means you accept the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
