My music taste was all over the place without reaching into songs without English. At a primary school camp someone recommended BTS, and I was like huh ok maybe. Then a year or so later one of my coworkers at my highschool job recommended them as well and I was like ok so I ned to give it a go. Then at the gym I used to watch BTS Got7 and Exo MVs on the treadmill because otherwise it was boring and I didn't have the motivation for it.
Started with BTS DNA, then Hellevator by Stray Kids and now I'm deep in the Ateez trenches, only collecting for the last year

I watched Squid Game and really liked Jun-hee, so I looked up her actress and realized she was a singer. I starting listening to IZ*ONE and I listened to Jo Yuri’s whole discography and fell in love with k-pop!

I was a gacha kid and there was this gacha trend where it has enhypens drunkdazed as the sound, then the name enhypen was familiar for some reason but I just ignored it and went to join the trend too, a few days later there was another gacha trend using enhypens “Polaroid love” ,I saw the name enhypen again and I liked drunkdazed and Polaroid love so I got interested and searched them up , I actually then found out I watched their interview for fun a few weeks back (it was the enhypen reacting to fan art )that’s why the name was so familiar 💔 I started listening to their other songs ,started with Polaroid love and drunk dazed to fever and I really liked it but I didn’t become a super fan yet, I just liked them . In school, I had a friend who likes enhypen too and to fit in I said I was a fan of them too(yes I was larping cuz I had a friend crush on her😂😂💯) so she planned a outing where me and her and her other friend who also likes enhypen to like go to every kpop store in our country (small country 💔😂) to find enhypen albums and I literally bought 2 enhypen albums and those were my first ones , I had a lot of fun but I knew like 3 enhypen songs bro💔💔I was a insane larp idk how my friends never caught on💔💔then they played still monster for me and that was then I knew I HAD to find out more about enhypen cuz I really really liked still monster , then a week later ,my mom actually bought me enhypen concert tickets cuz she thought I was a fan of them but that time I still haven’t gotten into them , just interested and liked them so I haven’t learned their names yet I only knew sunoo💔 when I went I had the time of my life as it was my first kpop concert 🥹💯 I had a rlly fun time except for the fact it was so loud 💔 a group of girls sitting behind me was screaming into my ears till I teared up💔💔 wth was wrong with me 💔💔 anyways from there I just had to start stanning enhypen and stop being a larp 💔💔 this was in I think 2023 or 2024?(during fate tour)

For me it was when dance the night away was a trend on musical.ly, it was all over my fyp 😭 from there I got into momoland and red velvet through Spotify playlists. Also those gacha life videos with ddu-ddu-du in the background 😭😭

I was on a call with the guy I like, who said he likes ENHYPEN. I barely knew a thing abt kpop. I knew and liked some BTS and Blackpink songs, but didn't know much abt the group. I wasn't a kpop follower yet.
And trying to have similar interests, I listened to ENHYPEN. But like, it was so captivating that I kept listening.
Eventually, it went from fake "stanning" them for him, to being something I yap about all day.
And at one point, I began prioritizing watching lives over responding to him yelling at me during a call (bc I keep ignoring him for ENHYPEN).
Then over time, I got into other groups.

Wild story but I got into kpop through the latin group hybe put together Santos Bravos. Hybe sounded familiar since some of my friends had talked about kpop to me before but at the time I wasnt really interested. Well looking into hybe led me down a rabbit whole and now im learning names and buying albums and saving for a concerts. My Ult Group is Stray Kids but im getting into a lot of different groups and really enjoying it

I was randomly scrolling instagram or something and I kept coming across people talking about Blackpink so I looked them up on YouTube and found the How You Like That mv. That got me into Blackpink and then into Kpop as a whole

The very first song was “Dynamite” in 2020 — it was just cool. And then, two years later, I came across videos from BTS and Stray Kids concerts on TikTok, and I was deeply moved by all that unity, or whatever it was, and I started getting interested

Also during DNA(?) of Bts a friend tried to convince me to like kpop but I didnt end up liking most of bts’ and skz’ songs so I didnt end up becoming a fan back then
