I’m giving my unsolicited opinion again because I genuinely love this app đŸ˜© I can dump my thoughts here since I usually have no one to discuss them with :( Today I want to talk about MinSung and clarify what kind of shipper I am. I love ships and find cute dynamics entertaining, but I don’t think they’re secretly married with three kids lmaoo 😂  I know they could be dating other people, and I don’t care, whether they’re best friends or romantically involved, I just enjoy their relationship đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™€ïž Some people misunderstand that. Certain shippers attack anyone who says they’re probably friends, while others refuse to hear about the ship at all. I don’t really like talking to either type 😭 You can mention MinSung as friends, as a ship, or make jokes about them. Friends can be cute together without being in love duh  I’ve supported MinSung for years, which is probably why I’m attached to their dynamic! They’ve always seemed interesting, especially after that pre-debut survival show moment when Minho said something like, “Maybe if Han held my hand again, I would’ve succeeded in the rap and not been eliminated” That permanently altered my brain chemistry đŸ˜©đŸ’• I don’t need them to be romantically involved đŸ€ŠđŸ»â€â™€ïž Their relationship just feels special, you can have a soulmate in friendship, and MinSung have always felt like that to me, but lately, especially during the This and That era, I feel like they’re more aware of how much fans ship them. They obviously know how popular MinSung is, and I think they’re actively playing into it.. That isn’t necessarily bad! If I knew fans loved a certain dynamic, I’d probably play into it too. That’s fanservice. But it does make some moments feel less genuine to me😼‍💹 Concert moments like running toward each other during Leventer or singing the “I do” final are clearly planned, especially when they happen at every show. I’m not saying their friendship is fake obv 😭 I just think some ship moments have become more intentional đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™€ïž The company may also notice which pairings generate the most engagement and put them forward more. We see this with other pairings too, like Seungmin/Changbin or Chan/I.N. After the intense Hyunlix situation around 2021–2022, JYP may have become more cautious with certain dynamics. Hyunlix interactions still happen, but they often feel more fan-discovered than officially emphasized  MinSung seems like a pairing the company is comfortable promoting, probably because it brings engagement, many international fans discover Stray Kids through edits, ships, and TikTok, and some people’s main attachment is literally a ship. If a dynamic makes people watch content, repost clips, buy albums, and attend concerts, why wouldn’t the company use it? đŸ„€ This isn’t unique to Stray Kids. ATEEZ has leaned into member dynamics and ships for yeeears, probably more openly and earlier, with Stray Kids, many interactions originally felt like genuine friendships that fans happened to ship, so the shift feels really noticeable.. =/ I don’t think MinSung are fake or dislike each other now!! I just feel like I can tell the difference between natural interactions and moments where they know the fandom is watching  Maybe I’m overanalyzing it, or maybe I’m simply more aware of fanservice now. Either way, I still love MinSung 😭💕 I can enjoy the ship while knowing their content is curated and either way I still know they're close friends and that's enough I don’t need them to be together. I just love their dynamic and I'm happy as long as they are too in their whatever shipÂ đŸ«¶đŸ»

Honestly, imo, I ship them all as friends đŸ€Ł so I’d call them by the ship name, but I’m not a shipper, I support them as duos though 😌đŸ’Ș

Yeahhh for sure!! Like, not shipping MinSung is completely fine, you don’t have to see them that way at all. But some people genuinely seem to hate the duo itself just because there are so many shippers 😭 bro get over ittt. They’ll literally find every possible way to ignore them or replace them with another duo because they don’t wanna “feed the shippers” or whatever 💀 Like yeah, there are a lot of shippers and MinSung could have their own fandom at this point, but you can acknowledge that two people are close without shipping them romantically?? Like I don’t know for sure, but I highly doubt 100% of the shippers genuinely believe MinSung are secretly dating. I don’t believe that either. To me, shipping is literally just like “oh, they’d be so good together” or “I like their dynamic,” it doesn’t mean they actually have to be together or that they owe us anything. They’re allowed to just be friends. It’s so weird to act like you have to completely ignore their friendship just because people ship them 😭

I'm just glad that they seem comfortable with fans shipping them, because I remember when Hyunjin and Felix were being shipped a ton they started distancing themselves from each other slightly to try and ward off the rumours. As long as the idols are okay with it, I don't really mind shipping, and this seems like a case where they're comfortable, which definitely isn't always how it goes.

Yeahh.. I don’t feel like Hyunlix made that decision 100% on their own. They definitely distanced themselves, and that’s something we can still see nowadays, but I feel like the agency probably played a part too, especially because of the fallout from what happened years ago 😼‍💹 But yeah, like I said in the text, I’d say 2021–2022, mostly 2022. We all know they were getting tons of death threats and hate, and they were basically the two most famous members in the group. Their popularity also brought a lot of obsessive people into the fandom, especially since some people know them mainly through brand deals and stuff instead of actually being fans of the group. And honestly, I feel like those people really messed with their friendship because they were genuinely so close. Now you can clearly see them having to distance themselves, even though I don’t think that was something they wanted in the first place. And yeah, that’s definitely one thing I like about MinSung shippers 😭 At least MinSung don’t really have to downplay their friendship. Okay, there are so many shippers that they sometimes almost have to emphasize that they’re just friends, but honestly, I’d rather see them emphasize that than feel like they have to hide being close to someone in their own group. Like
