Batteries in Lightsticks

I have my lightstick collection on display and because of that I want to have batteries in them. I know you shouldn't leave them in it but if I leave the batteries in the little removable holder and just take those out and leave them with the batteries in a small box or something close by is that okay? Or will it still ruin the little removable plastic part?

I keep a battery thing in my drawer, just for in general lol, but I’d definitely not risk keeping them in the lightstick, they can leak and run out that way, 🌺

I always keep batteries in a extra container near my lightsticks (often behind or next to the lightstick box), better safe than sorry
