hi everyone! i’m new to this app and im looking for some advice, i normally only get my cards off of mercari, so i’m a little skeptical and scared of getting scammed on here but someone is selling a card i’ve wanted for a while so i'm super interested. does anyone have any quick tips or red flags to look out for? thanks so much! (i’m also curious how do transactions work on this app? )

I’d also recommend just reaching out them as a vibe check. I’m mainly an IRL trader and I personally don’t keep track of any proofs for myself. BUT you can generally get a sense of who is very experienced by their socials. You can ask them for their Mercari or to post the card on Mercari for safety. If you’re nervous just start with the basics and request on hand video proof, addy proof, and mail out proof. If they’re inconsistent or come up with excuses for any of those steps - do a gut check and just know that if you don’t feel comfortable then back out. There’s always a risk of scamming sadly - but the majority of the time things work out. I’ve been trading and selling for about 5-6 years now and been fortunate so far. Good luck.

if someone has an instagram linked (for example mine) you can look through their insta highlights for proofs. i only buy through people that only have proofs/reviews on instagram to avoid scams. people have to send you their payment details in dms
