New to Photocards (Advice Pls!!)

lucyboysbian
Hi guys! Ive been an eyekon for 2 years now but only recently have gotten into phoyocards, this is my current collection (you can tell my bias is lara), but i was wondering how i can get more photocards for my collection without having to buy multiple versions of their EPs? All the cards from my current collection are pulls besides the RSD vinyl. I'm from australia so finding people to trade here is kinda hard and with the currency conversion some cards get quite expensive but im willing to pay for some cards I like, any advice on how to find certain cards and check for authenticity and how to store them? I have some popcorn sleeves I got on shein on the way currently but would like to get some help from actual people!!!

VINTED or JPfans! You can also look on instagram, many people ship works wide!

Not sure how good vinted is in Australia, (I’m in Europe so it’s not far for shipping usually), but typically I just buy things off of vinted- it’s cheaper than eBay sellers, 🫶

Definitely check out some proxy’s like buyee and neokyo for cheaper individual cards and sets! But I would only recommend this if you plan on ordering a lot of cards at once 🫶🏻🫶🏻

As an eyekon from Australia, I feel like sometimes the best bet is either to trade or if you can try and import pcs from America because that's where they are usually cheapest. Also I've used those shein popcorn sleeves for a while now and depending what brand they are they are usually alright but I wouldn't put PC's in them for years they are more of a temporary thing. Hope this helps ✨

hello! im not from australia so i dont exactly know how bst is on instagram but u could try and find australian goms! as for authenticity is to look up photos of the card to compare to the one ur wanting to buy/trade for to see if there’s any coloring or cropping that doesn’t look right! and for storing id recommend getting any binder (for the size of u collection id recommend an a5 one from anywhere should be fine!) make sure the pages are pvc free and if they have pvc to sleeve them in pvc free sleeves! u said u got popcorn sleeves from shein and unfortunately the ones from shein are fake and contain pvc :( i really do recommend popcorn sleeves but just don’t buy them from sites like shein! or u can research kpop stores that sell stationary that can send to ur country and have the size of sleeves u want :) sorry if this was unhelpful i tried to cover everything but again i dont know what collecting is like in australia but goodluck on ur collection journey 🥹 you’ll definitely find tips and tricks as u go!

thanks for the help!!! I definitely won't use the sleeves i got online then, we have a local kpop store that sells popcorn sleeves but they are just on the pricier side but I'm happy to spend it to make sure my collection stays in good condition. if you dont mind me asking what is BST and goms?

Specifically for sleeves, I like to use the Mandu Deco ones. They have multiple sizes so you can double sleeve as well as top loaders. I got mine from them on Amazon at $10 for 100. They’re also PVC free and I like them because they also have a bit of a thicker plastic than some other sleeves.
