Things to do once love for a certain group dies out...

jiha
It's normal to grow out of love for a group. Time passes, things change. I'm asking what do you guys do with the collection of the group you loved? For me, I tend to repurpose the album. For example, choosing photos I like from the album, cutting them out and make a spread abt the album reminiscing abt it in my junk journal~

when this happens to me, i will slowly downsize and sell my collection, and just keep my favorite albums/pcs. for me i don’t really see the point of keeping a huge collection for a group i don’t really listen to anymore, and i would rather use the money from selling my collection to spend on groups i’m still into + keeping the collection would take up a bunch of space and i would again rather use the space for groups i still stan. for example i went from owning 60+ twice albums to now just owning 8 and i’m still considering downsizing more. sometimes i think i like downsizing more then collecting lol, something about is just really satisfying

I understand that! I sell groups I don't keep up anymore too.

I agree with this take, it’s the same for me and thankfully I’ve always managed to keep what truly mattered to me at that time for the most part, it’s really important to take your time to sort everything out so you don’t accidentally (or not) sell something that you end up regretting later on

definitely !! I always downsize in multiple rounds. i also find that when i do it in rounds i find it easier to get rid of stuff. like when i downsize the first time and then look at my collection again after a while, i think “actually i can get rid of this too” it really helps when i’m still a little emotionally attached to stuff lol

I’m yet to have this happen to me yet (I truly hope it never happens) 😭

I stopped listening to SKZ around 6–12 months ago, and I have three albums, the PCs that came with them, and a few things from the Do It pop-up. I’ll probably gift the PCs to my fellow stays, and as for the merch… idk, I’ll probably sell it. I’ve never opened it or even worn the zip-up jacket. Sure, it’s a memory, but I’ll choose the money 😁

It has never happened to me that I would not like an artist anymore, everyone I have ever listened to just stays somewhere in my heart, because they are a part of my life already. I have a lot of bts merch from the time when I started listening to them, they became a huuuge obsession of mine back then. Now I listen to them once in a while, I'm not making my whole life about them but I still love them and I believe I forever will 💜

What I love about albums is that they tend to be really pretty, so even if I don't care for a group anymore I can still enjoy looking through the photobook at all the gorgeous pictures. I don't tend to repurpose them as cutting up an album would break my heart, but your idea of making a spread sounds great if you're emotionally strong enough. You can also just sell your collection of course - it will end up with someone who will actually treasure it and you can get a bit of money for it.
