Photo card safety

I’m relatively new to collecting photo cards and I wanted to ask do they fade/get yellowish when exposed to sunlight over a long time? And if yes is there a way to prevent that? I’d love to display some of them on my desk but it’s next to my window where the sunlight could hit them
