unstanned an ult group ?

i think that quite a few of us have experienced falling out of love with a group ♡ maybe there was a particular reason, or you simply slowly lost interest. for me this happened with twice !! they actually were my ults for a while (summer 2021 until early 2024) i used to listen to them all the time, collected all the albums, travelled to another country to see them in concert, simply to say i was obsessed. but i honestly wasn’t really vibing with the newer releases anymore and slowly lost interest so i’m curious, have you ever unstanned an ult group ? and if so, what was the reason ?

Not an ult group but I recently unstanned aespa. I get giselle has a very edgy aesthetic but it really crosses a line when you start posting pictures of actual murders and abusers. Not to mention she also posted screenshots from a movie “Leon the professional” which is a disgusting “love”story between a 12 year old and a GROWN man. Because I hate Mhj because of her obsession with media like this then it wouldn’t be fair to keep stanning aespa..

straykids and leeknow was my FAVORITE person on earth, idk what happened i just started not caring at all after 5 star 😭 same thing happened with almost ever bg i stanned, not all at the same time but i always somehow lose interest in ever bg i stan idk why ☹️☹️ i honestly really wish i could be into txt and enhypen like i was back then but i just cant make myself care, i love them so much tho

exo 💔 one of the very first groups i stanned, what happened later is inconsistency in number of members in each comeback which was breaking my ot9 heart and also i became much more of a girlgroups stan, still love them though

i wasn’t into kpop really when exo was really active but i do know about them and like a few of their songs !! but when i first got into kpop i remember being really confused about how many members were in exo, had to look it up multiple times lol

Me with enhypen 💔 everything fell apart after March 10.. it’s not just because my ult bias left the group, the fandom is genuinely messed up . I didn’t lose interest cuz I was a solo Stan,I truly did love all members and enhypen was like my first ult group that I actually really loved but I just can’t be with engenes ,people who can’t even respect my ult bias or at least treat him like his a human. like I swear so many engenes shade/despise/harass Heeseung for his own decision btw, his a grown man who can make his own decision.i mean engenes don’t even welcome Heeseung bias people anyways..i might as well leave on my own will , but anyways I still love enhypen but I think I’ll jsut support the boys from a distance..for my own mental health

And yes I’m aware ot7 also harass enhypen and stuff by like commenting enhypen is 7 and stuff ..both sides is at fault ,anyways it’s so messy that’s why I left the fandom 💔 I still love the boys tho, I still listen to their music occasionally:)

Happened to me as well, mine used to be Aespa for a good while, they were my top but Rich Man era kind of felt a bit underwhelming to me when it did release, it’s grown on me now but I think I miss more of their old sound. I still listen to them from time to time but I’ve mostly been gravitating to their older music rn

going through that as well with aespa rn! i knew about then since around debut and starting stanning right before spicy era, and was really obsessed with them during 2024 (armageddon was my top song that year) but i honestly wasn’t vibing with dirty work or rich man and only like some of the b-sides on the rich man mini album. i wanted to give them one last change with their latest release, especially since it was a full album, but i only liked camouflage 🥲 been finding myself less and less interested in the group, didn’t even buy tickets for their upcoming tour (that is when i also know i really lost interest in a group, if i’m not excited about a tour) have recently started dowsizing and selling my aespa collection, which sucks a little since i do have quite a few of their photocards. also agree that i gravitate more to their older music, honestly still think that their savage ep is their strongest release

I so agree! It’s hard falling out of love with favs, especially since we invested so much time and sometimes money in their music/merch 💔 I sold most of my cards too, but kept the albums. I found it so hard to collect their cards sometime too oof but I played the heck out of the savage era! ✨ I agree it’s their best!

Stray Kids. I genuinely thought I would love them forever, but their music kept getting more and more not my taste until it was clear that they weren't the group for me anymore. I barely keep up with them anymore, and it's a weird feeling knowing how much I used to love them.

I think it’s a natural thing that happens not only with K-pop groups. SKZ were my ults and my first K-pop group ever, but I eventually stopped listening to them simply because their music was no longer resonating with me. Not just their newer cbs, but their sound in general. Luckily, I only have a few albums - I didn’t buy a lot of merch.

it happened to me too with bts, i didn’t vibe with their songs anymore because they kinda changed and went us-coded, which is good for them cause they exploded in popularity, i will keep on cherishing the time i used to like them in my teenage tho
