new girl’s generation song (skibidi)

don’t get me wrong, i LOVE girls generation, but this song just isn’t it. it has no meaning, VERY random and way out of their aesthetic. this is girls generation we’re talking about, gold standard for kpop girl groups with one of most solid discographies in the industry. when i first saw it i thought it was definitely those fake ai songs. not only that but the skibidi joke was like ages ago. anyways, what is your guys’s opinion on this

I don't think you understand the intention behind the HYORISOO subunit - they started out as a joke trying to challenge the TTS unit, and no one was expecting them to actually debut. I think this song is perfect for them, and it's not meaningless either; there's a message in there about trying to stay young and hip and keeping up with the kids now that the women are older, and I think it's so much fun. A serious song would never have worked for this particular unit.

it’s more of the fact that the skibidi joke is literally dead. not even my 7 year old nieces use skibidi anymore
